Matthew Beatus

Client Relations

Matt brings over 10 years of experience in strategically managing compliance and other practical matters related to HR and employment issues. Matt has worked with Human Resources, Legal, and Talent Management professionals to effectively build and manage people operations, global mobility, compliance, risk management, and other business-critical programs. In his prior roles, Matt managed day-to-day responsibilities of legal and human resources functions while also regularly advising executive leaders, managers, and other senior level stakeholders on the viability and impact of workforce-related business decisions. Matt earned a Bachelor’s degree from Williams College and a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, where he concentrated in immigration law and international human rights law. Matt also earned a Master of Science degree in International Migration and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Raised in a family that always worked in the tourism and hospitality industries, Matt has a lifelong passion for food, enjoying restaurants, and sharing new culinary experiences.

Marcela Guzmán

Client Relations

Born and raised in Monterrey, México, Marcela brings a dynamic and culturally rich background to her role at Hopdov. An international business major, she has lived in Quebec City, Toronto, Spain and Paris before finding her home in Boston where she pivoted her career into Human Resources, graduating with a master’s degree in human resources management from Northeastern University. 
Marcela previously worked in Human Resources for The John Fraser Restaurant Group and for Revolution Foods. Prior to that, she worked at several food-focused multinationals, based in Mexico. Marcela’s passion for cultivating relationships, entrepreneurial spirit, and service-oriented mindset helps her to establish lasting relationships with clients. Her approach is characterized by a blend of cultural sensitivity, strategic thinking, and a hands-on understanding of the human element in business.  Marcela is fluent in English, Spanish, and proficient in French.  

Mikayla Gonzalez

Client Relations

Mikayla’s passion for hospitality began at a young age when she started working in her family’s restaurants. Before joining Hopdov, Mikayla worked in Human Resources for Whole Foods and Aramark at Fenway Park. While working in corporate environments provided valuable experience, Mikayla has long desired to rejoin the hospitality industry and apply her knowledge of human resources. Mikayla graduated from Bryant University with a bachelor’s degree in business as well as a Human Resources Management Certificate. Mikayla enjoys partnering with clients to support their operations and create exciting places to work. She is a hands-on human resource partner who focuses on problem solving and leading with compassion.

Erin Pettingill

Client Services Project Manager

Erin brings a multifaceted background rooted in the hospitality industry, with experience spanning event planning, executive level support, and operations management. Most recently, Erin served as Chief of Staff for an artisanal food company. Erin holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Endicott College and offers a unique blend of organizational and interpersonal skills aimed at enhancing the client experience. Erin has worked across various areas of the industry, including restaurants, catering, and food & beverage operations, giving her a well-rounded perspective on both front- and back-of-house dynamics. Known for her detail-oriented and people-first approach, Erin’s deep appreciation for hospitality extends beyond the workplace. She enjoys hosting at home and exploring New England’s vibrant dining scene. Her love for creating welcoming experiences translates seamlessly into her work, where she’s committed to helping teams thrive in dynamic, guest-focused environments.

Connor Bart

Human Resources Consultant

Connor brings an extensive background in hospitality and people development. Prior to joining Hopdov, Connor served as the People and Culture Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston, where he spent close to four years working in Human Resources. Originally from California, Connor graduated from the University of California, Irvine. His love for hospitality began while working for The Walt Disney Company, where he discovered a passion for creating meaningful connections and memorable experiences. Connor enjoys bringing his hospitality background and people-first approach to Hopdov’s clients, where he helps teams thrive through connection, care, and collaboration.
